App terms of use

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Draft under legal review. This text may still change; highlighted passages still need to be completed.

These terms apply to the PetiVeto mobile app for pet owners. Veterinary clinics using the clinic dashboard are bound by separate terms.

The French version of these terms is the reference version.

1. Publisher

PetiVeto is a service published by company name, legal form and share capital, with its registered office at registered office address, registered with the trade register of city under no. RC number, ICE no. ICE number. Contact: contact@petiveto.com.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms and the privacy policy. Your acceptance is given electronically at sign-up, in accordance with Law 53-05 on the electronic exchange of legal data. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the app.

3. The service

PetiVeto lets you keep your animals’ health records, receive reminders, find a veterinary clinic, request an appointment, exchange messages with the clinic, share an animal’s record with family and flag it as lost.

You are not charged for the app. If a paid feature were ever offered, its price and terms would be shown to you before any payment, and you would remain free not to take it.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Your email address is verified with a code at sign-up.
  • Your account is personal. Keep your password confidential: actions taken from your account are deemed to be yours. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and let us know.
  • If you sign in with Google or Apple, your account with them is governed by their own terms.

5. What PetiVeto is not

  • PetiVeto is not a clinic and does not give veterinary advice. The information, reminders and health score shown are organisational aids; they do not replace a veterinarian’s examination and advice.
  • In an emergency, contact a clinic or an emergency veterinary service directly. Do not wait for a reply by message.
  • Reminders and notifications depend on your phone and your connection: they may be delayed or not arrive. Do not rely on them as your only source for a treatment or vaccine.

6. Appointments with a clinic

  • An appointment request is sent to the clinic, which is free to accept it, decline it or offer another slot. The appointment is only confirmed once the clinic has accepted it.
  • The care relationship, prices and cancellation terms are set by the clinic. PetiVeto is not a party to that relationship and collects no payment on the clinic’s behalf.
  • If you cannot come, cancel as early as possible to free the slot.

7. Clinic directory

The directory lists veterinary clinics based on information they provide or on public sources. The partner badge only means that a clinic uses the clinic dashboard and that its registration has been verified by our team. PetiVeto does not recommend any clinic and does not guarantee the accuracy of every listing; please report any error to us.

8. Your content

  • You remain the owner of the information, photos and documents you add. You allow us to host and display them, solely to provide the service to you and to the people you choose (your clinic, your family).
  • You guarantee that you have the right to publish this content, in particular photos showing other people.
  • Messages exchanged with a clinic must remain courteous. Unlawful, abusive or defamatory content, or content that invades someone else’s privacy, is prohibited.

9. Sharing an animal’s record

When you share an animal’s record, the person you choose can view it but not change it, until you remove the share. You are responsible for choosing who you share with.

10. Prohibited uses

  • Using someone else’s account or data, or trying to access data that does not concern you.
  • Disrupting or overloading the service, bypassing its protections, or extracting its data by automated means.
  • Creating fake appointment requests or using the messaging for commercial or abusive purposes.

11. Availability and changes

We do our best to keep the app available at all times, but cannot guarantee it: interruptions may occur, in particular for maintenance or if a provider fails. We may change features; if a change removes an important feature, we will tell you in advance.

12. Liability

PetiVeto is responsible for the proper performance of the service described in these terms. We are not responsible for the acts, advice and care of veterinary clinics, for information entered by you or by a clinic, for damage caused by improper use of the app, or for force majeure.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you hold under Law 31-08 on consumer protection, or our liability in the event of fraud or gross negligence.

13. Suspension and account deletion

  • You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile › Privacy & Security › Delete account) or by writing to contact@petiveto.com. Your data is then handled as described in the privacy policy.
  • If you breach these terms, we may suspend your account after asking you to remedy the breach, or immediately in the event of a serious breach (fraud, access to other people’s data, security attacks). You can challenge this decision by writing to us.

14. Intellectual property

The PetiVeto brand, the app, the website and their content are protected, in particular by Law 2-00 on copyright and related rights and Law 17-97 on the protection of industrial property. You have a personal, non-exclusive right to use the app for as long as your account exists.

15. Personal data

How we process your data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

16. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Any significant change will be announced by email or in the app at least 15 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account; continuing to use the app after that date means you accept it.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Moroccan law. If you have a problem, write to us first at contact@petiveto.com: we will look for an amicable solution within 30 days.

Failing that, the dispute is brought before the competent court in accordance with Law 31-08, in particular the court of your domicile or residence.
